The fixed cost for self-hosting Gitpod is approximately $8 per month—low enough to be covered by the AWS free tier. Variable costs scale with usage and and depend on how many environments are created, the duration the environments are running and the workspace class chosen.
For example: an engineer using Gitpod for 35 hours per week with a standard environment class of 4 cores and 8GB RAM incurs $0.16 per hour, and approximately $5.60 per week.
